New public sector contracts for Induction Booking
Induction Booking app to help university students book COVID-19 lateral flow tests
Induction Healthcare (AIM: INHC), a leading healthcare technology company that helps to digitally transform hospitals, announces two new public sector and academic contracts with the University of the West of England and South Gloucestershire Council, for Induction Booking to enable the booking of COVID-19 lateral flow tests. These contracts reflect the expanded use of Induction Booking outside of its core NHS hospital appointment bookings and into local government and academic institution deployment.
Universities are undertaking greater efforts to identify students who may have Coronavirus and be infectious to others despite showing no symptoms. Induction Booking will facilitate appointments for COVID-19 lateral flow tests. By taking a test, it will allow students to return home between terms and help to stop the spread of the virus, protecting other people and saving lives.
The new contracts will provide further strong revenue and commercial momentum for Induction and exemplify how the Company's range of products can be utilised among wider markets to help simplify the booking process in the UK's COVID-19 testing efforts.
Rachel Cowie, Director of Student and Academic Services at UWE Bristol, said:
"We are pleased to partner with Induction Booking to rapidly deploy our lateral flow test programme across our three campuses. Students made appointments safely and securely on their smartphone or computer within minutes and received all the necessary information to be tested. This helped us deliver thousands of tests in the critical weeks before the Christmas break. As we managed demand quickly and easily, it became apparent why Induction technologies have been so widely used across the NHS for more than five years."
James Balmain, Joint-CEO of Induction Healthcare, said:
"It's a testament to our agile SaaS platform approach that we're able to deploy our solutions within days to adjacent market segments, without compromising our core mission within Health IT. It shows the versatility and adaptability of our products and we are pleased that our platforms can be used to help students in their return to normality."

About Induction Healthcare - https://inductionhealthcare.com
Induction Healthcare (INHC.LSE) is a UK-based leading healthcare technology company enabling the digital transformation of hospitals. We make a range of time-saving tools that work with existing hospital IT systems, benefitting staff and patients, while ensuring the highest standards of clinical safety and information security.
More than 190,000 hospital doctors across multiple territories, including the UK, Ireland, Australia and South Africa, as well as a rapidly growing number of more than 150,000 patients, choose Induction platforms.
Induction Switch is the number one healthcare collaboration app in the UK, used by the majority of hospital doctors within the NHS. The app helps to increase productivity and enhance communication by securely sharing phone numbers and bleeps, bookmarks, documents and messages in a clinical setting.
Induction Guidance provides medical organisations, including most hospital trusts within the NHS, with the ability to collaboratively create, edit, and publish their own local medical guidelines in a secure and locally administrated environment. This increases knowledge of, and adherence to, guidance.
Induction Zesty is a market-leading digital platform for patients visiting hospitals. The platform allows patients to book and access their appointments, read their clinical letters, store a copy of their clinical record and provide data to their care teams remotely. It is not just a compelling patient experience, but also delivers significant cost benefits to hospitals.
Induction HealthStream is a proprietary data integration platform that reads and writes patient demographic, appointment and clinical record data between a growing number of hospital EHR systems and the Induction platforms. This connectivity between stakeholders and legacy IT systems adds substantial value to pre-existing health IT investment and allows large-scale adoption of Induction app-based services.
