Job Title: Recruitment Consultant – Fixed Term (6 Months)

Business Area: Legal and Administration

The purpose of this role is to support the Induction Healthcare Group HR team in the resourcing, recruitment and onboarding of new talent across a range of business functions.  This is a critical role during a period of significant team growth and development and is integral to the delivery of key corporate objectives as we seek to scale up and strengthen business performance through people.


Key Accountabilities

You will work within a small team of HR professionals in the UK and Australia who support the business on a global basis. With a specific focus on recruitment (permanent, temporary and contractor hires across both UK and Australia regions), you may on occasion be asked to support in other aspects of HR. As we develop and implement our People Strategy for the business, there are a number of exciting projects in motion.  


This is a remote based role, though our serviced offices in Central London (Liverpool Street) are accessible for candidates who need or prefer to work from there.


Objectives of the role

– Develop and update job descriptions for each vacancy.

– Prepare recruitment adverts and post jobs to appropriate job boards, social media platforms, internal channels and selected recruitment agencies.

– Manage relationships with existing and potential agency contacts, acting as the main point of contact.

– Source and recruit candidates directly, seeking to minimise reliance on agencies and reduce hiring costs where possible.

– Screen candidate CVs.

– Conduct first stage interviews, assessing candidates for relevant knowledge and skills, as well as identifying ‘best fit’ for the organisation and the role.

– Coordinate (and, as required, support) second stage interviews with hiring managers.

– Maintain the highest standard of recruitment and HR admin, including but not limited to candidate correspondence, feedback, and offer administration.

– Work with the HR team and hiring management to support each new starter through onboarding.

– Handle and oversee all pre-employment checks, including referencing, right to work and basic criminal checks.

– Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.

– Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process. At all times act as a positive ambassador for the organisation.

– Build effective and positive relationships with hiring managers across all functions.

– Liaise with the Marketing and HR teams to create and share compelling employer branding messaging and content.

– Support the Director of HR in scoping and researching a suitable ATS for the organisation.

– Support the HR team with other duties, as directed by the Director of HR.

– Minimum 5 years’ recruitment experience –preferably within a fast growth tech organisation, or within a tech recruitment team at an agency.

– Exceptional interviewing skills, utilising a range of interview approaches and techniques to assess candidate suitability.

– An entrepreneurial mindset and an agile approach to supporting the business.

– A demonstrable track record of operating effectively in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

– Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

– Confident and assured with senior stakeholders; able to establish credibility and act as a trusted partner to the hiring line managers.

– High levels of enthusiasm and drive.

– A commercially astute, resourceful individual who is happy to be hands on and who has excellent communication skills.

– Experience of recruiting into roles across multiple disciplines and at all levels across an organisation.

– Strong attention to detail across all administrative duties, from drafting contracts of employment to posting external job adverts.

– Decisive but fair minded – with the confidence and gravitas to guide and navigate hiring decisions and offer negotiations effectively.

– Ability to establish, manage and build third party relationships with external recruiters; this includes confidence to effectively negotiate favourable terms of business.

– Experience working with ATS and HRIS systems would be advantageous.

Induction Guidance – hospitals set clinical guidance locally, typically producing guidelines that are rarely efficiently circulated or adhered to as they are not available at the point of care. Local specialists use the Induction Guidance platform to create, edit and publish structured and governance-controlled guidance and policies. Automated distribution of that guidance to mobile users, combined with local intranet availability, results in a significant increase in guidance consumption, and best of all, a material increase in local guidance adherence.


Our Customers

Our customers are healthcare institutions, primarily hospitals. As the company grows, we intend to expand our customer base into primary care and community and mental

health services. We have commercial relationships with most of the UK National Health Service (NHS) hospitals.


Where We Operate

Our principal market is the UK and we have a growing user base in Australia, South Africa and Canada. We intend to leverage this user base to extend our commercial operations internationally. We have recently won a national contract in Mexico, demonstrating a clear example of international growth.


Our Journey

The history of Induction is one of fast growth, fuelled by inventive solutions for the most common problems that clinicians and patients encounter in secondary care. At our creation in 2019, the immediate uptake of our products validated our promise to remove friction from the most basic but essential tasks.

By early 2020, Switch and Guidance gained traction and embedded themselves into several NHS Trusts just in time to be mobilised in the fight against COVID-19. At the same time, Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust maximised the number of patients accessing their health records with the platform. Working alongside Apple inc. and Cerner, we have helped to create a direct, encrypted connection between medical institutions and patient’s iPhones, empowering patients – and powering efficiency and decision-making at a clinical level.
