Job Title: Communications Executive

Purpose

We’re looking for a communications executive with excellent media relations skills to help drive our traditional and social media presence, as well as support internal communications.    As the in-house press office point person you will be responsible for managing our day to day media & stakeholder network in collaboration with our customers, partners and internal leadership.  You will be an integral part of the growing marketing & communications team, with a good understanding of the industry, products/services, branding, and marketing goals. You will also work closely with the sales, product and customer service teams to brainstorm ideas, develop messaging and draft content.

 

Objectives of the Role

– Thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with a high-volume workload.

– Work with Head of Marketing Communications to build and maintain network of media and other industry influencers to help raise Induction Healthcare’s profile.

– Develop strong relationships with customer media teams, particularly within the NHS, to develop stories and content for external and internal communications

– Interpret health-tech data relating to a product and translate this information into compelling media stories, social content and guidelines.

 

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities 

– Monitor & report on sector news and identify opportunities for Induction Healthcare to engage and build relationships, either directly or for our leaders

– Write & pitch original copy content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials including articles, blogs, press releases, social posts.

– Manage weekly company newsletter.

– Manage any day-to-day Press Office or stakeholder enquiries

– Manage day to day engagement with customers (mainly NHS Trust press offices) to develop case study and testimonial content, support their communications related to our products and manage award submissions.

– Support Induction brand presence at events.

 

Key Performance Indicators

– High quality drafting of media materials & ‘right first time’ interpretation of key messages

– Proactive, regular news flow

– Quarterly increase in media coverage for Induction and/or collaboration with Trust partners

– Proactive monitoring & response to sector developments demonstrating understanding of company messaging & reputation

– Positive relationship with and growing network of sector stakeholders, especially media. 

 

Personal Attributes

Skills and Qualifications

– High quality writing and exceptional interpersonal skills

– Minimum 2 years+ PR or Media Relations experience with solid portfolio of work.

– Knowledgeable about B2B healthcare and/or digital technology with existing contacts

– Experience working with or within an NHS Press Office beneficial

– Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines

– Excellent organisational skill and multitasking ability

– Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Preferred Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline

-Social media or content marketing experience a plus

– Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a plus

– Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc.

– A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
